Mayer Schaltechnik PRIMAX formwork used for water reservoir in Erlangen

The reservoir had to be built according to the standards of the DVGW (German Technical & Scientific Association for Gas & Water). One of their requirements is that all concrete surfaces in contact with drinking water must have as few pores as possible.

CCM Europe, a subsidiary of Carlisle, the US market leader for single-layer waterproofing systems, has invested €42 million in a new production plant in Waltershausen right in the centre of Germany. Two imposing production buildings plus a distinctive office building have been built on a 50 000 m² plot.

The miniMAX beams from Mayer Schaltechnik ensure safe, economic support during the construction of residential and industrial buildings.

Precast concrete planks plus in situ concrete topping were used for the six floors of a multi-storey car park in the Ostend district of Frankfurt am Main. To support the floors during construction, the contractor, Lupp, used the miniMAX system with its telescopic aluminium beams, which meant about 50% fewer props compared with the normal case.
