Ceiling formwork for residential and commercial buildings, Bad Hersfeld
A new level of formwork efficiency: klappMAX is recommended for follow-up projects
A new residential and commercial building was completed in Bad Hersfeld, Hesse, in January 2026. The structural work was carried out by Räuber Bauunternehmen GmbH. Since its founding in 1956, the company has grown steadily and now employs around 120 people. With its family-run tradition and broad expertise in nearly all areas of construction, the company carries out both residential and commercial projects in the region.
The building comprises a basement, a ground floor, and three upper floors, with a total of 8 residential units and one commercial unit. It was completed on schedule after a construction period of approximately seven months.
The klappMAX ceiling formwork system reduces material usage and creates more space
For the structural work, the renowned miniMAX aluminum beam system was used in combination with the klappMAX ceiling formwork system from the Franconian formwork manufacturer Mayer Schaltechnik. This system solution enables structured work on the construction site, as many of the required components are already integrated. This largely eliminates the need for additional materials or improvised solutions.
Another advantage stems from the comparatively small number of supports required. This not only reduces the effort involved in assembly but also creates more room for the various trades to work. Especially in multi-story construction projects, this can significantly streamline the construction process.
klappMAX impresses during the construction process: a strong recommendation from the site management
The work on site was coordinated by foreman Andreas Reimer and site manager Tobias Poppe. From the site management’s perspective, the system used proved to be highly effective during the construction process.
“The system worked really well during construction. Installation proceeded quickly and without unnecessary delays. It was immediately clear to us: we’ll rely on it again for our next construction project,” says site manager Tobias Poppe.
Predictable and cost-effective thanks to intelligent system combination
The project exemplifies how workflows in the structural shell can be efficiently structured using precisely coordinated formwork systems. The combination of miniMAX and klappMAX made it possible to clearly structure the individual construction phases and optimally coordinate processes on the construction site. This simplified installation processes, reduced work steps, and made the overall execution significantly more predictable. The project underscores how technical system solutions not only facilitate work on the construction site but also make a significant contribution to the cost-effective and on-time execution of complex construction projects.
