With the groundbreaking ceremony in November last year, a forward-looking construction project began on the western outskirts of Dinkelsbühl. A modern campus for the State Finance School is being built on an area of around 10,000 square meters. For the Free State of Bavaria, this represents an investment of 57 million euros in the training of future finance professionals. The new location for the future of Bavarian tax and financial administration offers space for 100 trainees and, for the first time, creates a campus format with central learning and living areas. The building is scheduled to be completed and put into operation as early as 2027.
The Swabian construction company Eigner is responsible for the implementation of this major project. For over 100 years, the family-run business has been known for its high-quality construction in southern Germany. Under the motto “Building for the future based on tradition,” the construction company combines proven methods with innovative solutions and sustainable construction methods. This is exactly where the FLUXX impact formwork system from Mayer Schaltechnik comes into play.
The FLUXX joint formwork system is a pioneering solution for forming double and hollow wall joints. At the heart of the system is a specially manufactured flexible steel profile that is braced in the panel joint using the FLUXX plastic locking anchor. This simple but highly effective technique enables fast and precise formwork that fits seamlessly into the construction process.
Once the concrete has hardened, the anchor is simply twisted off, allowing the formwork rail to be reused without any problems. This not only saves a huge amount of time, but also significantly reduces material consumption. Wood or other materials are hardly needed, significantly reducing waste on the construction site.
Another highlight and component of the system is the FLUXX floor rail made of robust yet lightweight aluminum. Its use significantly improves the quality and efficiency of floor joint formwork.
The ease of use of the impact formwork system guarantees faster construction progress. In addition, there is less material damage and loss, as the rails can be used multiple times. Logistics are also simplified, as there is no longer any need to transport and dispose of costly disposable materials. This results in less construction waste and more efficient use of resources.
The new state finance school in Dinkelsbühl is more than just a construction project—it is a symbol of change in education and of the combination of tradition and innovation in construction. Thanks to the use of FLUXX and the expertise of the construction company Eigner, the result is not only a functional campus, but also a building that sets sustainable standards.
